Mumbai, April 5 (Commodities Control) - The Indian soybean market is facing a notable decrease in arrivals, attributed to a slowdown in plant operations.
Total soybean arrivals nationwide have reached 215,000 bags, with Madhya Pradesh, the leading soybean producer, contributing 75,000 bags. Maharashtra reported a substantial arrival of 115,000 bags, while Rajasthan contributed 13,000 bags. The remaining states collectively accounted for an additional 12,000 bags in cumulative arrivals.
Various mandis across the country have observed fluctuations in soybean prices, reflecting regional dynamics. In Madhya Pradesh, soybean prices ranged from Rs 4,500 to Rs 4,650 per quintal. Maharashtra witnessed price fluctuations between Rs 4,450 and Rs 4,650 per quintal, whereas Rajasthan reported prices ranging from Rs 4,550 to Rs 4,650 per quintal.
The attention has also turned towards soybean plant prices. In Madhya Pradesh, plant prices were in the range of Rs 4,675 to Rs 4,775 per quintal. Maharashtra saw plant prices fluctuating between Rs 4,650 and Rs 4,750 per quintal, while in Rajasthan, plant prices were recorded in the range of Rs 4,700 to Rs 4,750 per quintal.
