Jaipur, 22 April (Commoditiescontrol) : Mustard seed and oil prices fell on Monday amid limited demand while arrivals increased compared to last session. However, cake prices gained on good buying as demand from feed sector is regularly seen. As per the traders, arrivals of mustard seed has declined as the farmers are reluctant to liquid their stocks at lower rates.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned were flat at Rs 5,375-5400 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices fell Rs 10 to Rs 992-993 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also dropped Rs 10 to 1002-1003 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices gained Rs 25 to Rs 2515-2520 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 7 lakh bags across the country, up 50,000 bags from the last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 4 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 70,000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 70,000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 40,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 25,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 95,000 bags of mustard seed.
At Kandla port, CPO prices were quoted Re 1 down at Rs 898 per 10kg and RBD palmolein prices rose Rs 5 to Rs 935 per 10 kg. Soyoil refine prices rose Rs 5 to Rs 935 per 10 kg. Degum prices were quoted flat at Rs 855 per 10 kg. Sunflower refine oil prices were steady at Rs 930 per 10 kg.
