Ahmedabad, April 22nd Commodities Control - Despite a slight increase in peanut arrivals across Gujarat today, market prices remained stable due to a lack of significant demand. Export activity is also currently subdued.
Traders report continued selling by farmers; however, prices are holding steady due to sluggish demand. With Hanuman Jayanti on Tuesday, most markets will be closed, leaving Wednesday's arrivals as a key indicator for future price movements.
Market Highlights:
Gondal Mandi: Arrivals of approximately 14,474 sacks (35 kg/sack) were recorded. Average quality peanuts fetched Rs 1,221-1,501 per 20 kg, while the best quality reached Rs 1,226-1,361 per 20 kg.
Rajkot Market: Arrivals reached 12,000 bags today. Average quality peanuts traded at Rs 1,110-1,245 per 20 kg, with the best quality achieving Rs 1,120-1,293 per 20 kg.
Saurashtra Region: Daily peanut arrivals are estimated to be around 30,000-35,000 bags.
