Mumbai, April 22 (Commodities Control): Against a backdrop of increased purchasing activity in raw tur and limited arrivals, the Solapur pulse market observed a surge in tur prices this morning. However, prices of mill-quality chana experienced a marginal decline attributed to diminished procurement from millers due to subdued demand in dal.

The Pink variety new tur prices increased by Rs 150 to trade in the range of Rs 11,100 to Rs 11,900 per quintal. Today, the market received 18 truckloads, while arrival of 25 trucks recorded on the previous trading day.

Turning to Chana, mill-quality Chana prices declined slightly by Rs 50 to trade within the range of Rs 5,900 to Rs 6,100 per quintal. However, Annagiri Chana prices maintained stability to quote in the range of Rs 6,000 to Rs 6,800 per quintal. Today, the market saw the arrival of 3 truckloads, matching with the figure recorded on the previous trading day.
