New Delhi, April 11 (Commodities Control): Cotton prices declined for the second consecutive day in Lower Rajasthan today due to weak procurement from spinning mills, while the daily arrival of Kapas in the state's mandis remained steady.
According to traders, cotton prices have declined for the second day due to weak procurement from the state's spinning mills and the way prices have weakened in the world market. In view of this, the spinning mills of these states are adopting the policy of wait and see. However, the daily arrival of cotton in the state is decreasing significantly and ginning mills are also not finding it profitable at the current price. In such a situation, the chances of a big fall in cotton prices are less. Kapas prices weakened by Rs 100 and cottonseed prices by Rs 25 in the state.
The arrival of Kapas in the mandis of Lower Rajasthan today was 700 bales, one bale - 170 kg, whereas the arrival on the previous trading day was the same number of bales.
