New Delhi, April 11 (Commodities Control): Cotton prices remained stable in Karnataka on Thursday due to limited demand from spinning mills, while the daily arrival of Kapas in the state mandis remained stable.
According to traders, cotton prices remained stagnant for the third consecutive working day due to limited purchases from the state's spinning mills. At present, the spinning mills of the state are purchasing cotton only as per requirement because its prices have weakened in the world market recently. Although ginners do not find it profitable at the current price, while the outstanding stock of Kapas in the state is only limited. Therefore, the chances of a big decline in the current prices are less. Along with Kapas, cottonseed prices remained stable in the state.
On Thursday, the arrival of Kapas in the mandis of the state was 2,000 bales, one bale of which was 170 kg, while the arrival on the previous trading day was the same number of bales.
