New Delhi, March 12 (CommoditiesControl): The clove market continues to exhibit a steady sentiment in prices, with slight variations reported in different regions.
In Kottayam, prices for Comoros-origin cloves ranged between Rs. 860 and Rs. 870 per kilogram, while cloves from Madagascar were priced at Rs. 860 to Rs. 880 per kilogram. Cloves of Sri Lanka origin were trading in the range of Rs. 890 to Rs. 920 per kilogram. Domestic clove prices in Kottayam maintained stability, hovering between Rs. 950 and Rs. 980 per kilogram, consistent with the previous session.
The domestic market in Kottayam is experiencing pressure due to higher supply resulting from increased imports and reduced exports. Despite this, the prices have remained relatively stable, reflecting a resilient market sentiment.
Moving to Shimoga, clove prices per kilogram were reported to be ranging between Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 1,020, mirroring the prices observed in the previous session. Additionally, clove stems in Kottayam were priced at Rs. 160 per kilogram, aligning with the rates from the previous session.
The clove market are influenced by both domestic and international factors, including import-export patterns and local supply-demand conditions. The current steady sentiment suggests a balanced market.
