Mumbai, March 15 (CommoditiesControl): Clove prices have maintained stability across various markets, with Kottayam, Comoros, Madagascar, and Sri Lanka reporting consistent pricing trends. However, domestic prices in Kottayam are expected to remain steady after a previous week's decline, despite pressure from increased imports and reduced exports.
In Kottayam, clove prices range from Rs. 860 to Rs. 870 per kilogram. Similarly, prices in Comoros and Madagascar hover between Rs. 860 to Rs. 880 per kilogram, while in Sri Lanka, they are slightly higher, ranging from Rs. 890 to Rs. 920 per kilogram.
Domestic clove prices in Kottayam are anticipated to hold firm at Rs. 950 to Rs. 980 per kilogram, despite higher supply resulting from increased imports and decreased exports.
In Shimoga, prices remain consistent with the previous session, ranging between Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 1,020 per kilogram. Additionally, clove stems are priced at Rs. 160 per kilogram in Kottayam, aligning with previous pricing trends.
