New Delhi, April 5, 2024 (Commoditiescontrol): Clove prices have exhibited stability in both Kottayam and Shimoga markets, reflecting consistent trends in domestic and imported varieties.
In Kottayam, imported clove prices have remained steady, with Comoros-origin clove trading between Rs. 840 and Rs. 860 per kilogram, Madagascar-origin between Rs. 850 and Rs. 870 per kilogram, and Sri Lankan origin between Rs. 850 and Rs. 880 per kilogram.
Domestic clove prices in Kottayam have also maintained stability after a slight decline observed in the previous 2-3 sessions, settling around Rs. 880 to Rs. 900 per kilogram. The increased supply due to rising imports has impacted the domestic market, contributing to the stable price scenario.
Meanwhile, in Shimoga, clove prices have remained unchanged from the previous session, holding steady at Rs. 900 to Rs. 920 per kilogram. Additionally, the price of clove stems in Kottayam remained consistent at Rs. 125 per kilogram, mirroring the rates of the previous session.
Overall, the clove market in both Kottayam and Shimoga continues to exhibit stability, with prices maintaining steady trend.
