Mumbai, April 8 (CommoditiesControl): Domestic pepper prices in major Indian markets have reportedly stabilized after a notable increase, rising by Rs 3,800 per quintal since the recent low. This stability is attributed to robust demand at lower price levels. Market participants note a surge in export demand in recent weeks as the price gap between India and other countries has significantly narrowed.

In the domestic market, garbled pepper prices in Cochin stand at Rs 55,600 per quintal, while ungarbled pepper is priced at Rs 53,000. In Karnataka, pepper prices range between Rs 53,800 and Rs 56,000 per quintal.

Meanwhile, in Vietnam, pepper prices remained unchanged at VND 92,000 to 94,000 per kg from the previous session. However, prices are anticipated to face pressure as arrivals peak. Across all major origins, global FOB prices were reported to be stable.
