Mumbai, April 15 (Commoditiescontrol): Clove prices have remained consistent across various markets. In Kottayam, imported clove prices held steady, with Comoros cloves trading between Rs. 840 and Rs. 860 per kilogram, Madagascar cloves fetching Rs. 850 to Rs. 870, and Sri Lankan origin cloves priced at Rs. 850 to Rs. 880 per kilogram.
Meanwhile, domestic clove prices in Kottayam stabilized after experiencing declines in the previous 2-3 sessions, trading in the range of Rs. 880 to Rs. 900 per kilogram. The increased supply resulting from higher import volumes has influenced prices in the domestic market.
In Shimoga, clove prices remained unchanged from the previous session, with prices ranging between Rs. 900 and Rs. 920 per kilogram. Additionally, clove stems maintained their price at Rs. 125 per kilogram in Kottayam, consistent with the previous session.
