Mumbai, March 22 (Commoditiescontrol): According to Safras & Mercado, Brazil is expected to benefit the most from Argentina's soybean crop loss by increasing its crushing, soy meal, and oil shipments to cover for Argentina's lower output. Argentina's soybean crop is projected to be below 30 million mt, leading to soybean imports of 10 million mt, while exports are expected to be limited to 1 million mt. In contrast, Brazil is projected to harvest 152.4 million mt, with exports of 94 million mt and crushing projected at 53 million mt. Soymeal production and exports are expected to increase, but soy oil exports will decrease due to higher domestic demand after the country's increased biodiesel mandate. Brazil is expected to be a major beneficiary of Argentina's soybean crop loss. With a projected harvest of 152.4 million mt, Brazil's soybean, soy meal, and oil exports are expected to increase, filling the gap left by Argentina's lower output. On the other hand, Argentina's soybean imports are expected to rise, and its exports are likely to be limited. It remains to be seen how the market will adjust to this changing supply and demand dynamic, but for now, Brazil is in a strong position to take advantage of the situation.
