New Delhi, Aug 03 (Commoditiescontrol): US soybean net sales were at 90,600 metric tonnes (MT) for the week ended July 27 in the marketing year 2022/2023 starting September 1, down 54 percent from the previous week and 16 percent from the prior 4-week average.
US soybean net sales were at 198,500 MT for the week ended July 20.
Net sales were primarily for the Netherlands (56,500 MT, including 62,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 5,500 MT), Mexico (23,500 MT, including decreases of 2,100 MT), Indonesia (13,800 MT, including decreases of 5,200 MT), Spain (5,500 MT), and China (4,900 MT, including decreases of 100 MT), were offset by reductions for Japan (21,700 MT), unknown destinations (7,800 MT), and South Korea (200 MT).
Net sales of 2,630,700 MT for 2023/2024 primarily for unknown destinations (1,574,000 MT), China (859,000 MT), Mexico (166,500 MT), Indonesia (13,500 MT), and Taiwan (10,500 MT), were offset by reductions for Japan (300 MT).
Exports of 344,900 MT were down 9 percent from the previous week, but up 30 percent from the prior 4-week average.
The destinations were primarily to Mexico (69,500 MT), Japan (66,300 MT), Spain (60,500 MT), the Netherlands (56,500 MT), and Egypt (33,000 MT).
Optional Origin Sales: For 2022/2023, the current outstanding balance of 300 MT, all South Korea.
Export for Own Account: For 2022/2023, new exports for own account totaling 100 MT were to Taiwan. The current exports for own account outstanding balance of 1,900 MT are for Canada (1,400 MT) and Taiwan (500 MT).
Soybean Cake and Meal
Net sales of 163,600 MT for 2022/2023 were up 2 percent from the previous week and 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.
Increases primarily for the Philippines (44,400 MT), Colombia (27,900 MT, including decreases of 7,200 MT), Venezuela (20,700 MT, including decreases of 4,300 MT), Canada (16,600 MT, including decreases of 1,100 MT), and Ireland (14,800 MT switched from unknown destinations), were offset by reductions primarily for unknown destinations (9,800 MT), Costa Rica (6,000 MT), and El Salvador (4,100 MT).
Net sales of 183,300 MT for 2023/2024 were primarily for the Dominican Republic (51,300 MT), unknown destinations (45,600 MT), the Philippines (42,000 MT), Honduras (24,300 MT), and Canada (9,100 MT).
Exports of 216,200 MT were down 26 percent from the previous week and 11 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Mexico (45,400 MT), Guatemala (31,500 MT), the United Kingdom (29,500 MT), Colombia (25,300 MT), and Canada (20,900 MT).
Soybean Oil
Net sales of 2,200 MT for 2022/2023 were up 4 percent from the previous week, but down noticeably from the prior 4-week average.
Increases were reported for Canada (1,200 MT) and Mexico (1,000 MT). Total net sales of 2,200 MT for 2023/2024 were for Canada. Exports of 10,700 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.
The destinations were to Mexico (6,600 MT), Jamaica (3,500 MT), and Canada (500 MT).
