Mumbai, Apr 26 (Commoditiescontrol):According to data released by the Canadian Oilseed Processors Association (COPA), both Canadian rapeseed and soybean crushing volumes increased in March 2023.
The volume of Canadian rapeseed seed crushing in March 2023 was 922,944.0 tons, up 13.66% from the previous month. The output of rapeseed oil was 384,817.0 tons, up 14.23% from the last month, and the production of rapeseed meal was 545,922.0 tons, up 13.28% from the previous month. The Canadian oilseed crush crop year runs from August to July.
Similarly, Canadian soybean crush volume was 154,670.0 tons in March 2023, an increase of 8.59% from the previous month. In addition, the output of soybean oil was 29,892.0 tons, an increase of 9.56% from the last month, and the production of soybean meal was 122,420.0 tons, an increase of 10.32% from the previous month.
The increased crushing volumes and outputs for rapeseed and soybean can be attributed to favourable market conditions and increased demand for oilseed products.
