Mumbai, May 9 (Commoditiescontrol): According to analysts of the National Association of Exporters Anec, Brazil is expected to sell about 12.1 million tons of soybeans to foreign markets this month. This forecast is 1.8 million tons lower than the previous month's results but 1.8 million tons higher than May 2022's results, which were 10.3 million tons.
If this forecast holds true, Brazil will have exported 48.93 million tons of soybeans abroad in the first five months of 2023, compared to 45.19 million tons in the same period in 2022. China is the largest importer of Brazilian soybeans, accounting for 73% of the total volume of shipments.
In addition, sales of meal from the American region are expected to increase to 2.2 million tons in May from 1.7 million tons in April and 1.9 million tons in May 2022.
Meanwhile, corn exports for May are expected to be at 324.1 thousand tons, compared to 166.2 thousand tons in April this year and 1.1 million tons in May 2022. Wheat exports for May are expected to be at 70.2 thousand tons, compared to 166.6 thousand tons in April this year and 109.1 thousand tons in May 2022.
