US soybean net export sales for August 11-17 up noticeably W/W at 364,900 MT

NEW DELHI, Aug 25 : US soybean net sales were at 364,900 metric tonnes (MT) for the week ended August 17 in the marketing year 2022/2023 starting September 1, up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.



US soybean net sales were at 93,600 MT for the week ended August 10.

Increases primarily for Germany (142,200 MT), Spain (108,000 MT, including 105,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), the Netherlands (85,300 MT, including 80,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), China (15,000 MT), and Japan (11,500 MT), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (14,400 MT) and the Philippines (400 MT).

Net sales of 1,218,200 MT for 2023/2024 were primarily for unknown destinations (557,200 MT), China (415,000 MT), Mexico (177,500 MT), Taiwan (25,100 MT), and Canada (19,500 MT).

Exports of 449,200 MT were up 54 percent from the previous week and 40 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Germany (142,200 MT), Spain (108,000 MT), the Netherlands (85,300 MT), Mexico (54,900 MT), and Indonesia (16,400 MT).

Optional Origin Sales: For 2022/2023, the current outstanding balance of 300 MT, all South Korea.

Export for Own Account: For 2022/2023, the current exports for own account outstanding balance of 1,900 MT are for Canada (1,400 MT) and Taiwan (500 MT).

Export Adjustments: Accumulated exports of soybeans to the Netherlands were adjusted down 142,156 MT for week ending August 10th. The correct destination for these shipments is Germany.

Soybean Cake and Meal

Net sales of 71,400 MT for 2022/2023 were down 44 percent from the previous week and 52 percent from the prior 4-week average.

Increases primarily for Colombia (40,500 MT, including 26,300 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 4,100 MT), Venezuela (27,800 MT, including 25,500 MT switched from unknown destinations), Morocco (15,000 MT), Honduras (10,600 MT, including 6,000 MT switched from Guatemala, 4,300 switched from El Salvador, and decreases of 6,200 MT) and Ireland (9,000 MT), were offset by reductions primarily for unknown destinations (52,000 MT) and El Salvador (10,800 MT).

Net sales of 202,600 MT for 2023/2024 were primarily for Canada (62,900 MT), Mexico (41,400 MT), unknown destinations (30,000 MT), Ecuador (26,000 MT), and Honduras (17,500 MT).

Exports of 245,500 MT were up 28 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Colombia (68,300 MT), the Philippines (47,900 MT), Venezuela (27,800 MT), Israel (25,400 MT), and Canada (24,000 MT).

Soybean Oil

Net sales of 1,800 MT for 2022/2023 were up noticeably from the previous week and up 64 percent from the prior 4-week average.

Increases for Mexico (2,000 MT), were offset by reductions for Canada (200 MT). Exports of 900 MT were up 54 percent from the previous week, but down 75 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were to Canada (600 MT) and Mexico (300 MT).
