US soybean net sales for Sept 22-28 at 808,500 MT, up 20.28 percent W/W

NEW DELHI, Oct 6: US soybean net sales were at 808,500 metric tonnes (MT) for the week ended September 28 in the marketing year 2023/2024 starting September 1, up 20.28 percent from the previous week.

US soybean net sales were at 672,200 MT for the week ended September 21.

Net sales were primarily for China (589,200 MT, including 176,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Spain (73,300 MT, including 65,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Bangladesh (56,200 MT), Colombia (17,200 MT, including 16,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Indonesia (14,400 MT), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (10,000 MT).

Exports of 671,500 MT were primarily to China (372,700 MT), Mexico (119,800 MT), Spain (73,300 MT), Japan (63,500 MT), and Columbia (17,200 MT).

Exports for Own Account: For 2023/2024, the current exports for own account outstanding balance of 1,900 MT are for Canada (1,400 MT) and Taiwan (500 MT).

Soybean Cake and Meal

Net sales of 23,400 MT for 2022/2023 were down noticeably from the previous week, but up 3 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Poland (28,700 MT, including 30,000 MT switched from Israel and decreases of 1,300 MT), Colombia (13,200 MT, including 8,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 3,000 MT), Honduras (11,000 MT, including decreases of 16,900 MT), the Philippines (7,900 MT), and the Dominican Republic (1,100 MT), were offset by reductions primarily for Israel (30,000 MT), unknown destinations (8,000 MT), Thailand (2,800 MT), Guatemala (1,700 MT), and Taiwan (500 MT).

Net sales of 348,100 MT for 2023/2024 primarily for Mexico (116,000 MT), the Philippines (93,700 MT), Indonesia (51,500 MT), Japan (25,600 MT), and Honduras (24,200 MT), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (45,000 MT), Colombia (3,100 MT), and Burma (900 MT).

Exports of 232,200 MT were up 30 percent from the previous week and 10 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to the Philippines (50,100 MT), Ecuador (32,800 MT), the Dominican Republic (31,100 MT), Poland (28,700 MT), and Guatemala (20,100 MT).

Soybean Oil

Net sales of 500 MT for 2022/2023 were down 90 percent from the previous week, but up noticeably from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for Canada (400 MT) and Mexico (100 MT).

Net sales of 300 MT for 2023/2024 were primarily for Mexico (200 MT). Exports of 700 MT were down 25 percent from the previous week and 53 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destination was Canada.
