Jaipur, 18 May (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed, oil and cake prices extended their gains on Saturday amid strong buying support. The stockiest and the processors were actively buying oilseed as prices of oil and cake were firm and bullish tone in the edible oil market is expected to continue in near term.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned rose Rs 125 to Rs 5950-5975 per quintal (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices gained Rs 20 to Rs 1100-1101 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also rose Rs 20 to 1110-1111 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices gained Rs 30 to Rs 2800-2805 per quintal in Jaipur.
In Delhi, mustard seed prices were quoted Rs 25 higher at Rs 5775-5825 per quintal. Mustard oil expeller was quoted Rs 5 higher at Rs 1100 per 10 kg in the market of Delhi.
In the market of Charkhi Dadri of Haryana, prices of mustard seed gained Rs 50 to Rs 5750-5800 per quintal and mustard oil expeller traded Rs 5 higher at Rs 1090 per 10kg while cake prices rose Rs 20 to Rs 2800 per quintal.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 6.25 lakh bags across the country. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 3.5 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 70,000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 75,000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 25,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 20,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 85,000 bags of mustard seed.
