Jaipur, 24 May (Commoditiescontrol) : Prices of mustard seed, oil and cake extended their fall for a second consecutive session on Monday amid weak sentiment. Demand for oil seed and its products were down while arrivals were up.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned extended dropped Rs 50 to Rs 6100-6125 per quintal (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices declined Rs 5 to Rs 1152-1153 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also dropped Rs 5 to Rs 1162-1163 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices fell Rs 20 to Rs 2850-2855 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 7.25 lakh bags across the country, up 0.25 lakh bags from last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 4.35 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 80,000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 75,000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 25,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 25,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 85,000 bags of mustard seed.
At Kandla port, prices of CPO was quoted flat at Rs 876 per 10kg and RBD Palmolein also traded Rs 4 up at Rs 905 per 10kg. Soy oil refine prices rose Rs 5 to Rs 940 per 10 kg and degum traded Rs 5 down at Rs 865 per 10 kg. Sun flower refine was quoted flat at Rs 945 per 10 kg.
